This is an historic day: Jack Smith has taken the first steps on a path that will put a former US president in jail. I vividly remember the Watergate hearings when I was in college. It’s important that the whole country see justice being served. Trust in the rule of law is the glue that holds our Republic together.
C Stewart@leo I remember it as it was happening and thinking how terrible it was. But this was so much more awful. Back then I don't remember there being factions that would follow Nixon through thick and thin. I think people were just happy to get rid of him.
