I just got back from Carol's Pub in... Ravenswood? Andersonville? Both? It was very nice! Good atmosphere and not pricey.
Dmen or Beer Temple for beer. Scofflaw or Longman for cocktails. Delilah's for whiskey.
Maria's Community Bar. A ton of beer on tap, lots of space indoor and outdoor, multiple restaurants that change over time, consistently good staff, in the interesting side of the city.
