This is an historic day: Jack Smith has taken the first steps on a path that will put a former US president in jail. I vividly remember the Watergate hearings when I was in college. It’s important that the whole country see justice being served. Trust in the rule of law is the glue that holds our Republic together.

@jaykass @leo Can't you just hear a president saying "For the good of the country we must move on..." as they announce a pardon or commutation?

I expect Trump to go into exile. Jared owes him at least a place to hide.
