@Tresallier Yes, I have no idea how to 'migrate' my stuff. prob have to start again from scratch.
@mikebealing i dont think you can save posts to another instance. I may be wrong. I set up a tab on my computer opened as piaille and another as home.social, then i trawled through my following/followers list and copied names into search bar of the new. Tedious, but i have reduced my following list considerably.
V. West@Tresallier @mikebealing No, you're right. You can download your post archive, but there's no capacity to upload it elsewhere.
But. You can boost individual posts to the new server after you set up the acct but before you start the migration steps (I've pinned a how-to at my place).
The content is supposed to be retained at the new place. We'll see in about a week whether that's actually the case.
