A particular oddity is Krzewina - in Poland, but its railway station serves the German village Ostritz - across the Neiße https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krzewina_(Bogatynia)?wprov=sfti1

@jon This was so funny when there was still roaming. my phone wouldn't shut up alerting me to a new provider.
@konosocio you tried this one too?
@jon no, unfortunately not! (I really like crossing the border on a train because sometimes *somehow* everything looks different and you can tell that you're in another country even if your only a couple of hundreds of meters away from the border)
@konosocio Right. Totally! And that Czech one is a nice route in hilly terrain, slightly old fashioned feeling to it.
@jon Sounds perfect. I really like following your project, there is quite a list of routes and places I would like to see for myself! Thank you for that.
@konosocio These border places are always fascinating. Not always optimistic though. And today I’m going through Poland and then to the Czech border, and that makes me happy - those two borders are Germany’s most interesting I think!
@konosocio related: maybe I ought to make a Top 10 cross border lines to take post? Something that’s more a travel guide?
@jon well I took your report and photos when you went to Serbia (I think it was Serbia?) as such. 😊
