I filed the original bug for this back in 2014 when I was working on sync for Notes.
Little did I know, I would eventually join the CloudKit team and have the opportunity to fix it myself.

So whatever businesses do to disable iCloud Drive on their employee phones… would CloudKit now work on those, as long as they had a signed-in Apple ID?

Bill Lloyd@panzer @marcoarment @_tim______ @jann @mschwinges @stroughtonsmith @robotspacer From my read of https://support.apple.com/guide/deployment/restrictions-for-iphone-and-ipad-dep0f7dd3d8/web, I think disabling iCloud Drive is a supervised-only restriction, which means it's only settable on institutionally-owned devices, making this mostly a non-issue?
