Save California transit - call top decisionmakers now

Public transportation systems across California are facing major budget shortfalls in the aftermath of the pandemic. If not addressed with state funding, agencies will be forced to implement devastating, potentially irrecoverable service cuts that pose a devastating threat to California’s future. We need to burn up the phone lines of Governor Newsom and the top legislative leaders to let them know they must provide finding to save public transportation by the June 15 midnight budget deadline.   Subject: Take Action: Save California transit - call top decisionmakers now Friend, I took an action on Action Network called Save California transit - call top decisionmakers now. @SafeStreetRebel Tried calling but there's nobody answering the phone after 5. Left a comment on the website. I'll keep trying!
@14mission If you leave a voice mail over the weekend, they are supposed to count those. Also if anyone wants to avoid speaking to an actual person, this weekend is the perfect time to call
@SafeStreetRebel tried again and didn't get a voicemail option. So I will try during business hours and actually talk to a person.
@SafeStreetRebel third times a charm.. Actually there was an option to leave a voice message, and I took it--somehow seems easier to talk coherently that way!
@SafeStreetRebel I really admire your commitment to transit and the fact your group isn't afraid to get a little "in your face" about it with the public. Good job!
