Why are so many left leaning news orgs in the US deliberately ignoring the breaking #UAP story published by #TheDebrief?

It is now #TheGuardian's number 1 trending article, yet only a small handful of US news sites have picked it up. Fox is one of them. Where are CNN, The Associated Press, NPR, and The NYT? It is time to #EndUAPstigma

#ufos #ufo #uaps #enduapsilence #enduapblackout

@benjaminallocco Because UAP media is propaganda. It's meant to convince foreign powers that we have secret tech/alliances that we'll unveil if you attack us.
@ostrich @benjaminallocco
This is an interesting interpretation, I was trying to think of what sort of mundane conspiracy it could be.
@fungixl @benjaminallocco The most compelling theory and the one supported by the most direct evidence (including intelligence briefings) is that a lot of "alien cover-ups" and other similar conspiracy theories are used to detract from actual conspiracies. You could actually watch this play out in real time as Republicans amplified the wackiest Russia theories to detract from actual straightforward foreign collusion that actually happened.

@ostrich @fungixl

I'm not sure what you mean that there is direct evidence for this theory. To me, the problem here is that this theory has apparently already excluded the possibility of nonhuman intelligence from the equation. There is enough eyewitness testimony and FOIA released records to indicate, in my view, that there is a nonhuman intelligence at play which we do not understand.

Why should we view that evidence as evidence of yet another, different conspiracy?

@benjaminallocco @fungixl I mean for example we have the government admitting in declassified docs that they fed into the Roswell theories in order to cover up the fact that what actually crashed was a US spy craft, so the USSR would have trouble gathering intelligence from eyewitness and rumors.

@ostrich @fungixl

I think you're referring to project Mogul? The fun story there is that many believe those docs themselves are just cover for the nonhuman craft that actually crashed there. Idk what to believe about Roswell, but I see both possibilities being equally plausible.

@benjaminallocco @fungixl A lot of conspiracy people also erroneously refer to Project Mogul as a "weather balloon" -- which I think downplays the gravity of what Project Mogul actually was.
