@malcircuit I don't know about that. My history teacher was quite emphatic about not only events continuing to happen, but also that they would be the _same_ events, over and over.
cori@skrrp @malcircuit I also had that experience though tinted with a bit of a rose-colored interpretation of the “doomed to repeat it” trope. Or maybe that was *my* 16 yr old optimism - “Surely we can learn from our past well enough *now* not to just do it all over again”.
