What are your favorite gaming YouTubers? - Beehaw

I linked a Warlockracy video because I really enjoy his choice of games and presentation. Other channels I really enjoy: Mandalore, Grim Beard, Civvie11, Oboeshoesgames, and Boulder Punch. If you can’t tell, I like longform, scripted and edited videos on older games and niche games and mods.

The big three gaming YouTubers I watch right now are Hutts, ProJared, and jacksepticeye.

None of them take themselves too seriously, and love a good laugh. There's a mix of long form and short form content there, but it's all unscripted and most of it is largely unedited.

Many A True Nerd, Mikeburnfire... does Jerma count? I'll add him

I'm a big fan of Baalorlord. He's a top-level slay the spire player with a bunch of world-record streaks, and his main channel is primarily spire play... which may not interest you if you're not into that game. But his archives and variety channel and Baalorlord plays channels have more game variety, with a strategy bent. Recent plays I can think of include xcom, cult of the lamb, brotato and vampire survivors, several deckbuilders other than spire, into the breach, slice and dice, and has a running series where he plays the old snes game chronotrigger.

Super melodious voice, very positive vibe... he never shit talks or makes excuses, top tier strategic analysis on the thinky games, great punny jokes and light atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I've been watching videogamedunkey since I was a highschool freshman. I love his humour, style, and his insights in games and other media.
I second this, he's always been so unique and hilarious, yet oddly genuine.
I really love That Trav Guy, he makes super interesting and entertaining videos on the history behind and gameplay of games and game series, his MegaMan X6 video got me to finally finish the game after struggling with it since I was like 6. I also follow him on Twitter and he just seems like a swell guy!

His System Shock review was excellent! Extremely thorough.

Christopher Odd, hands down.

Discovered him around the time XCOM2 got released, because I was looking for someone to learn a trick or two from. Learned a lot from how he plays tactical games, but stayed for his calm and down to earth way (I absolutely can't stand that hyper, over-the-top crap that a ton of Let's Players do). Have also discovered the one or other gem through his videos.

Can only recommend!

I enjoy all different genres of gaming. If I had to break it down to a few it would be Squad Based Strategy, a great story based RPG, or Rogue-Likes with a lot of replayability. This channel is aimed at mature audiences considering some of the game themes, but I try to keep it light, focus on the story and as long time viewers would know, "Set The Vibe." Lights off, headphones on, volume up, and just let yourself get into the game.

YouTube
I love Christopher Odd too, he has a great pick of games and always pumps out content pretty quick. Also highly recommend.
Josh Strife Hayes makes really good videos about mmos and retro games ( on his other channel ). I love the constructive criticism he gives devs and his sarcastic delivery.
Josh Strife Hayes

MMORPG focused entertainment and review channel. Second channel focused on reviewing classic games: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCR9X2tT0_WVfuYO17vqstlA Attention gaming companies: I will NOT email you asking for free keys to your game, if you have received such an email please double check the address of the sender, you will likely see it is an imitation.

RTGame, callmeKevin, ambiguousamphibian, t90official
I love RTGame and CallMeKevin. Their wholesome evil brings so much joy
Hi my name is Kevin and today I am a menace to Society. I love Kevin and RT!
I watch a lot of skill up and the rest of the members from the friends per second podcast. Razbuten and nakeyjakey are good as well. I'm into yugioh as well so I watch dzeef and their group.

Dunkey, Let's Game It Out, NakeyJakey, Digital Foundry, and Gameranx are the ones I watch most regularly.

The Architect of Games and Razbuten are fun ones if you like video essays, and Keenengraz is great for finding lots of insane free games to play. ThatGuyGlen has some cool, short docu-style videos on the making of indie games that are really well done.

I'm sure I'm forgetting plenty, but those are some of my favorites, for sure.

"Hey its me, Videogamedunkey!"
"Hey guys it's me, Cr1tikal!"
BigMoist =? Dunkey
It was a reference to one of his videos where he joined Overwatch voice chat with another Youtuber (I want to say Ethan Klein) and was messing with the rest of the team. They're different people.
Also +1 for digital foundry. Great hosts who look at both console/pc games, old and new, with technical or general analysis
Id add Skillup and ACG to this list as well. For more technical DF style stuff, GamersNexus is the best PC gaming channel on youtube
U Can Beat Videogames and quinbobin are two smaller channels I really like.

Gotta be SovietWomble and his "Random Bullshittery" episodes!

It's usually 10-20 minutes of high quality sillyness realesed every month or so, although he's been doing some longform video essays too in recent years

(Warning: occasional strong language)

SovietWomble

Youtuber, Streamer and inventor of the colour green.

Definately Soviet + videogamedunkey

Robbaz - He is a Swedish guy I have watched for a very long time now. He has the ability of turning what could be mundane games to watch, into wild and crazy stories. Highlight series he's done are Skyrim, Kerbal Space Program, and The Sims.

He posts a lot less than he used to on YouTube, but they're great everytime he does.

Pre-warning - His videos contain a lot of dark humour, so may not be for everyone.

Robbaz isn't just any Swedish guy.. he's the King of Sweden! 😁

He's by far my favourite streamer, the only one I don't get bored of after a while 🙂

I can't believe I didn't refer to him using his full title! I hope he can forgive this transgression 😅
Northernlion is my favorite, and he absolutely pumps out the content. His banter is perfect for me.

Yeah I've been subbed to him since around 2012/13. Used to watch his Binding of Issac on and off where the banter was top tier as he got so good at the game it was all muscle memory.

I now watch his Super Auto Pets videos on and off as well which has replaced the Binding of Issac content.

In both cases he put out more content than I can consume so I'll always have content to watch.

They stopped in December just gone, but here is a site where playlists have been made for all the YouTube content.

NL YouTube Series

Northernlion Live Super Show or NLSS dockets

Errant Signal does meta analysis on all types of games but focuses on obscure indie titles. He’s probably love/hate but I really enjoy his style and I love the obscure games.

Icaruslives does all doom mods. Easy 5-10 min vids on all the thousands of doom mods out there.

Game Maker’s Toolkit is all about analysis of game components with the MO of thinking about how to make a good game. Very interesting and well produced

Upisnotjump does a ton of shit but if you’re into the long form style he’s got a lot. Humor forward with quick cut editing so can be a lot but I’ve liked a lot of his stuff

I basically only watch Hermitcraft at this point. My faves are Etho, MumboJumbo, Joe Hills and ZombieCleo (honorable mention to Grian and GoodTimesWithScar)

Yeah another Hermitcraft fan (excellent taste btw). Ive been catching up on Season 9 and I'm challenging myself to watch every hermit's videos. I'm finding every time I watch a video by a hermit I thought I didn't really like that much that they're actually all absurdly entertaining. I'm right about to hit the climax of the RentheKing arc and I'm constantly laughing out loud.

The fact that there's so much talent on that server is insane.

I love KatherineOfSky, Let's Game it Out, Summoning Salt and recently started following Real Civil Engineer.

Except for Summoning Salt that makes INCREDIBLE documentaries about speedrunning, the others play the kind of games I enjoy playing, so I enjoy watching them too: building games, tycoons and all the like.

KatherineOfSky

I am KatherineOfSky and I love to play a wide variety of games on my channel: from experimental indies to AAA titles, I tend to play what gives me joy. I truly enjoy trying out new games, especially those with a unique premise and interesting gameplay. Some of my long-term series include strategy and building games like Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program, Anno 1800, Autonauts, & more! I am also very interested in voice acting, so send me an email if your game needs a voice! I can do a variety of accents. On a personal note: today my favorite color is orange, and I adore my kitties Araminta, Eleanora, and Emma. You basically hit 3/4 of my list here.

Let's Game it Out - Josh is a gaming goblin and i'm here for it. RCE - He's hit or miss since his popularity really spiked, but his Infra and Mini Metro/Highways playthroughs were always fun to watch Summoning Salt - Great docu-style videos on speedruns. Shame his channel got hit for a 1-second clip of someone saying 'fuck'.

I also enjoy Vinesauce and his gaming corruptions.

Insym is great as well for his horror-style longplays.

vinesauce

Streamer on twitch.tv/vinesauce. Games, corruptions, pizza, scummy marios, voices, ducks, new york, etc. Most of the videos you see here are cut and edited from my live streams. Full streams are on this channel: http://www.youtube.com/vinesaucefullsauce I also make music. A youtuber that makes music? I'll check them both, and I recommend you to check KoS too! She's lovely, I practicaly learned English by listening to her 🥰
Real Civil Engineer started popping up in my recs out of nowhere – he's fun! Made me want to download Mini Metro again (and do super not great at it again).

Same!

I was just watching Let's Game It Out, and clicked on another video thinking it was another video of his and it was Real Civil Engineer (both were pushing the limits on Hydroneer, so I didn't notice it was from another creator).

Now I'm checking his old videos, especially those about Timberborn, at the same t ime I follow KoS Timberborn series. I'm a bit short on money now but I can't wait to buy it.

Seconding KoS. Sometimes to learn, sometimes for just a cosy 45 minutes of listening to someone who sounds shockingly similar to the Canadian girlfriend I sort of lived with at the turn of the century.
The ones I've been watching most recently have been No beans and Kaif, Wirtual and his casting vods for TMGL, and the odd Jacksepticeye or Markiplier when i see their vids.
CJUgames, Many A True Nerd (MATN), ManlyBadassHero, and Markiplier are my favourites. Except for MATN, they all focus on horror games. I like MATN for his strategy game playthroughs, such as Civ or Xcom.
I've been keeping up with Thabeast721 in his quest to beat every N64 game ever made (and he means all of them) It's very fun seeing some of the more obscure games and how he manages to figure out some of the Japan only games.
Beating EVERY N64 Game

I just stumbled into grim beard. He good. Seems he’s doing the civvie bumper skits that are not really connected to any story.

Bingeing his library wile i wait for more content from Mandalore. I will have to try out oboeshouegames and boulder punch

Grim Beard heavily borrows from Civvie11’s style with an additional apathetic millenial (self aware) edgy affectation. Not as good as Civvie11 IMO but he plays different types of games.

Oboeshoesgames is the only short content on my list, more just existing for comedy.

I'm a Dark Souls addict, so Iron Pineapple, Ymfah, VaatiVidya, Lobos Jr, and The Backlogs are all weekly watches for me.

And of course the MVP, Dunkey.

Have you seen TBSkyen's Boss Designs series? Because they're some of the best blind playthroughs I've seen period. He puts a lot of effort into flexing his art degree and writing a mini-essay about the boss he just fought at the end of each video. So far he's gone through Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2 and just finished Bloodborne. Honestly I like his DS2 series the most because he actually genuinely appreciates what FromSoft was doing.
Oh, yes, but I wasn't subbed. Thanks!
Oh, yes, but I wasn't subbed. Thanks!

I'm a Dark Souls addict Check out saint riot if you haven't already. I kind of lost interest in Elden Ring but I used to watch all his DS3 content back in the day. Great guy :)

I only play extreme games for extreme gamers, like myself. Email: [email protected]

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check it out.
shoutout to simpleflips
I'm a big fan of Ryukahr. He's a super chill guy who mostly plays Super Mario Maker levels and is incredibly good at them.
Came here to post him and happy to see he's already represented.

I don't watch that much gaming related YouTubers but I usually like the content from Bricky, Mandalore and ambiguousamphibian.

Especially ambiguousamphibian's pseudo philosophical challenges are always entertaining. People should check out his: "Kenshin - The Torso Squad Experience" series.

I recommend Warlockracy specifically to you then, since he’s kind of a mix of Mandalore’s format with pseudo philosophical musings. A very particular sense of humor that often requires deep pull internet knowledge layered on top.
I'm a fan of Vinesauce and Vinesauce-adjacent streamers (Jabroni Mike), but I occasionally enjoy other channels that people mention here, too
Jabroni Mike

You have found my Highlights Channel; lucky you! Here you'll find compilation videos of my live streams and other odds and ends stuff. Seconding the many people who love Josh, the mad genius of LetsGameItOut.

As for commentary, no one come close to the great Noah Gervais, who does long (and I mean looooooooooooooooong) form essay videos.

SummoningSalt has excellent history pieces on speedrunning. For comedy, I stick with the Game Grumps, they recently reverted to including game names in their video titles again. watching them is a wonderful way to decompress at the end of a long day.
I'm a big fan of wand of sparking (mostly Terraria), lukethenotable (most Minecraft), and astralspiff (mostly fnaf). Astrallspiff is great to watch streaming; makes for some great comfort content
Action Button. Great VERY longform reviews.
When's the next review though 🥺
