Good morning from an Amtrak train! I’m riding the rails from Atlanta to NYC to test the efficacy of the free onboard Wi-Fi.

Can I work with it? Let’s see!

Can I video conference? Can I chat on Slack? Can I stream videos? Can I use a VPN?

…I honestly don’t know yet, since I just woke up. I’ll report back with my findings!

@kimkey Wifi is okay for browsing,etc on that part as far as I know, but they are pretty clear when you login that anything video won't work - but maybe that's to fend off a lot of heavy usage?

@taylorkatebrown indeed! I’m still going to try it to see how restrictive it is. I am writing an article about how to work away from home, so I’m trying to come up with some workable solutions for readers.
