This article perfectly outlines what I was surprised about regarding the Apple Vision Pro announcement: it’s a 2D paradigm in the 3D world. No 3D interfaces. No “mind palace” demos.

This article is very well-written and worth reading. It even has some juicy iOS 7 behind-the-scenes stories.

@zackkatz they can call it what they want but it looks like augmented reality to me.
that price is just nuts. I have an Oculus 2 (more precisely my son has it) and it is a bit heavy after a while but it is far, far cheaper and is 3D with some really good games on it.
@zackkatz I think it’s a wise place to start. If you want people (the masses) to transition start with what’s familiar. Individuals are easy to convince. But large groups of people change slowly by comparison. All you have to do after that is get out of the way. This will quickly become populated with the real possibilities of “spacial computing.” Especially considering this was announced at a developers conference. Apple is inviting it. Disney’s demo actually started to scratch the surface.
