effects of the canadian wildfires are visible in albany right now. the air is ominously smoggy but not quite foggy, and the sunlight that's bleeding through looks tinted red. i'll try to get photos after class.
so right now, it is only partly cloudy, but it is impossible to see the sky. i took this photo right outside the bus stop for crossgates mall. the dark grey is actual clouds, and the light grey is smoke so thick that you cannot see blue.
here's a view from the crossgates parking lot. it looks a little foggy, but keep in mind that's not fog; it's enough smoke to smell like a campfire.
here are some more photos, taken in washington park an hour ago. the building in the background of some of them is corning tower. it's not that tall, and you can see the top of it from the park even on a fully-cloudy day. right now, you can barely see it at all.
