So we definitely got everybody’s attention there with our latest newsletter. 😅

Kinda not surprised (but a bit bummed) that some folks don’t seem to like / get elaborate sarcasm.

@macguru17 Because it wasn’t sufficiently clever: good satire flirts with a concept before the twist. Musk has too many fanboys who think just like that, and even the idea that the makers of one’s favorite app are dicks is creepy. I suggest you don’t blame your users for a joke that didn’t land.
@gebloom @macguru17 ah, it was sarcasm? I was like eww, alright, I still love Ulysses. Thanks for clarifying
@soid @gebloom yes, sarcasm. We thought „on mars“ and „fantastic lover“ were obvious enough. We now know better
@macguru17 @gebloom I guess I didn’t feel like reading that paragraph carefully enough and rather skimmed it. But the rest of the mail was pretty interesting. I hope you guys do search across notes before the AI

@soid the feedback on AI has been pretty clear that people don’t want it in an app like ours.

I’m curious though: what do you look for with the search? We do have quick open which searches all texts, and on Mac also Sheet List search, which filters a group and shows all occurrences.

@macguru17 I didn't know there's search on Mac, nice. Sometimes I want to look for named that I mention, or events, or places – there are many useful cases. Text search is useful. I tried to find it a while ago, but couldn't. Maybe I only tried on iPad (it's not supported on iPad, right?)
@soid the search in sheet list is not on iPad at the moment, yes. But good it’s helping😊 (btw: you can also add filters with permanent searches like these)
