Trying #linux again. Fedora KDE. Was working okay, had initial issues getting GRUB working but past that was fine. Updated my packages, got the RPM Fusion repo - then trying to update the NVIDIA drivers broke everything. Couldn't login, and the login screen flickered like crazy. Ugh. Gonna try again.
Things seem to be working well now. I'm hoping this sticks - crossing my fingers. Have Plex set up and everything.
Update: it didn't stick. I realized a) I was on the old kernel version, so my Nvidia drivers weren't installing and b) when I try to boot into the new kernel version, I get a black screen. I can get into tty2, and can see that my Nvidia drivers *did* get installed, though? But I'm at a complete loss as to where to go from here and searching online has not helped at all.
Oh, and trying to boot into the old kernel version is now just showing the UEFI splash screen like five times. If I press (not hold) the power button the Fedora load shows up for a moment before the system powers down. I can also tty2 from that UEFI splash but am unsure what to do from here. #linux
