Both my mom and step mom were teachers (step mom retired as a junior high principal) and my dad became a school librarian after retiring from the USAF. Between this bullshit and the school shootings, I'm glad they're all out of the school house now.
@JRBuckley I wish people who know what great education looks like were still there. I worry about these kids that have never seen school without corporate style standards and testing. They have no memory of good pedagogy.

Being an #OSB (Overseas Brat) I went to a tiny DOD-run high school where most of my teachers had advanced degrees and the class sizes were small. I cringe when I think about what public schools have become.
