If the amount of time it takes for people to disembark from a plane during normal circumstances is any indicator, I think it’s safe to say we’re all going to die in the event of any sort of emergency evacuation.

Flip them all@Alice During certification testing a full plane has to be evacuated using half of the exits in 90 seconds or less. Usually done in a dark hangar. Of course, in the real world many pax ignore the instructions to leave all luggage behind.

I heard a DJ say that if you hear the emergency tones on the radio for the real deal, don't expect to hear his voice because he will know a few minutes before you and he is getting his ass outta town before the traffic jam starts.
