@FortunateFool did i ask for the alternatives? why do you assume i'm unaware of the status quo? why do you assume that my instance doesn't have the extended search patch applied? (you must be aware that there is no instance-level conversion path between various ap implementations, surely.)

@Zanzi as it says on the label: rochko killed a merge-ready pull request of extended local search functionality out of spite, after working with the patch author for a few weeks to get it in a state he accepted.
and it's not the first feature he nixed in the same way, wasting work and time of contributors.
