The light sentencing may avoid having these individuals become martyrs.

Many will be out of jail before Republicans can orchestrate pardons for them.

All of the accused admit being conned by disinformation campaigns.

The funding behind that malign influence campaign remains unprosecuted.

The algorithms that promoted a seditious conspiracy remain in place.

Republican billionaire donors that funded Jan 6 remain free.

Good points and way to find a silver lining.

I was glad to see that @Brandi_Buchman who has covered so many of these trials addressed the light sentencing too. Just another reason that we need to have one party in control of all three branches again for a while to significantly reform our criminal codes.

I think we should amend our constitution to limit the POTUS' pardon power personally too.
