She's not wrong. You can't build a small independent business without social media and because of the #pornocalypse, nothing you do in the adult space or even vaguely tangential to it is welcome on social media. It's a fatal conundrum.

@ErosBlog Sadly, this is all very true.
It's one of the reasons I think decentralised social media like the Fediverse are our best bet as NSFW content creators.

@aimeemaroux I agree that decentralized social media is a bright ray of hope in the abstract, but unfortunately I've been quite demoralized by the "we deliberately made content discovery and explicit positive recommendations impossible because those things are sometimes used for evil" ethos that is built into Mastodon. Makes it very hard to use this platform to connect with supporters and potential customers.
