I know it's unfashionable to praise your local council, but seriously – in many cities, this space would have been sold for commercial development. Instead, Aarhus Kommune turned the city’s prime waterfront location into a fabulous, inclusive community space that not only has lots of free activities and facilities, but that gives away free books.

@CiaraNi It is a great place and a favorite for me in Aarhus as well.

I work in Sønderborg were we are lucky to have something similar at the waterfront. It holds a danish library, a German library, an art school and a cafe 🙂

@Janich Don't know? I haven't been to Amsterdam for decades and I don't know what OBA means.

@CiaraNi OBA is the central library in Amsterdam. It is very nice as well 🙂
