Madmartigan is probably one of Val Kilmer's best roles. Willow was magical, unfortunately, the series had no magic in it.

I was disappointed in it. Maybe Kilmer would have improved my outlook on it.

@amindonfire my thoughts on the series is that Disney was trying to go for the teenage demo. So they gave it what I call the WB treatment or teenage drama and angst. Teenagers didn’t like it and older fans of the og didn’t like it. I just ignored the angst parts but it was kind of annoying.

"The WB treatment" is pretty apt. Really, Disney didn't have to do a lot except deliver a solid story. A lot of the dialog was pretty bad too.

I think it's the CW now(?), I don't really watch a lot of network stuff and really stopped watching WB/CW when Supernatural ended, but why do all their shows revolve around either a coffee shop of some kind or a diner?
