@derricksofficial Respectfully, I do not buy it.

For two primary reasons:

1. The same groups hyping these technologies now are some of the same groups that were apathetic to the public safety harms that they have been actively constructing wantonly for years; and
2. Hype like this (and I do not believe that the colonel's comments were taken out of context) sucks the seriousness right out of the "#AI safety" position.
