One of the annoying things about having a pair of #dogs is how dogs' pack preference and dominance-hierarchy behaviors play out when you buy dog beds:
Because of their pack preferences, they prefer to lay together: you can get two dog beds and hope that each will lay on their own bed, but, usually, you end up with two dogs on one bed and the other bed unused …even if they're identical beds (with notionally identical "value" to the dogs).
Because of their dominnce-hierarchy thing, the dominant dog will always try to lay in the center of the bed if they get to the bed first. This means that, if you want to buy a dog bed big enough for two dogs, you really need to buy one big enough for three dogs …unless you want the less-dominant dog laying precariously on the edge of the bed because the more-dominant dog has taken their half out of the middle.
