The reaction in academia to the need to change assessment practice in the light of #ChatGPT etc reminds me of this joke:

Q: How many academics does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: What do you mean, change?

@telescoper Perhaps the way forward is to redefine academic tasks as (1) checking out what the AI suggests (logic, sources) and (b) doing what we can to improve on its suggestions.
