The comic has just wrapped up the latest story, Threatened, and should return with new work in late June, according to the Tumblr site.

This story took me a while to understand what was happening, though the art immediately pulled me in. This is a *very* California comic.

Del has assembled a panoply of characters who are maddening & dear because we've run into them before. Usually in our own families.

Art and Oz are the main pair. Did I mention that those two are werebeasts? And one is a shark? And the other is...what he is.

#CaliforniaMagic has great characters, a deft hand with conflict & taps into slapstick comedy without breaking a sweat. There are also panels so beautiful I want to frame them. #WebComics
