Remember when Elon and I got in a Twitter spat about Teslas not being appreciating assets? Well… I was right. Give me the billions, please. https://www.ft.com/content/d8333d2b-65a7-3c41-b285-0de17bb61a48 https://home.social/@electrek/110469124288468218

@snazzyq Dude is a gold medal mental gymnast.
@snazzyq Tesla themselves have been reducing the prices of the cars pretty consistently over the past year or so. Hard to appreciate in value when new ones are selling for less now than they were a few months ago.
@snazzyq He is actually a certified idiot.
@snazzyq @vmstan TIL Elon doesn’t know what the straw man fallacy is, and also apparently doesn’t understand how inflation works.
@chucker @snazzyq yeah I’m not good at the “spot the fallacy” game but I was confused by that as well.
@snazzyq why do people think Space Karen is some kind of mastermind..? Utterly baffling 😂

@benmounseywood @snazzyq

don't think that's what happening

i think they see him and realise they want a society where dudes like him get rich and famous due to being like he is

@snazzyq so... do you still like Elon? 🤪
@dbraasch If he answers this, RIP his mentions
@snazzyq it's got to the point where I have an absolutely Pavlovian response - the moment I see someone in a car with that "T" on the bonnet, I say "wanker". Can't help myself.
@snazzyq seeing how musk didn’t understand how to do random sampling but pretending he did, then reading his older stuff in that same light makes it seem 10x dumber
@snazzyq
Just so I understand this right, _hypothetically_ if your car became _actual_ FSD overnight, its resell value _could_ increase to more than you bought it for, making it an appreciating asset?
