Manuel Kehl@overheadhunter Die lange Liste in meiner Notiz mit dem Titel “Project Ideas” steht leider in keinem realistischen Verhältnis zu der Zeit die es in der Praxis dann doch braucht ein solche umzusetzen... Wie ich neulich selber schmerzlich feststellen durfte 😅 - “how hard can it be. JUST a LITTLE app. Right?!!”
@overheadhunter @Amy did you consider adding some form of Fediverse integration in @ridestats?
Sebastian is looking for an app without centralized storage backend (AFAIK iCloud sync is optional in RideStats so by turning that off it would certainly tick this box) and Fediverse integration. Not sure if it’s an exact match for what he's looking for, but I wanted to bring RideStats to his attention and get you two in touch, in case he has questions 😉
@overheadhunter @Amy @ridestats Sebastian, by “Fediverse integration” do you mean fully-automatic posting of recorded rides to the Fediverse?
Or would a manual share sheet interaction suffice? There already is a way to share rides as custom “.ridestats” files in @ridestats, but I guess for sharing with non-ridestats-users anywhere (including the Fediverse) you’d probably want some form of “export as image” functionality?
@manuel @Amy @ridestats I thought of some way to subscribe to my own as well as other's activity. Sharing is a first step but lacks the two-way-interaction. To put it in the form of a user story:
„Not only do I want to brag with my achievements but also want to hear the crowd cheering!“ 😄
