NOTHING says "Republican Party" like repeating the affront of ILLEGALLY blocking the peace talks to favor your election, then taking credit for POW returning, some years later than they would have had the peace talks proceeded (they were VERY close before Nixon (again ILLEGALLY) screwed things up.
And let's face it, he's DIRECTLY responsible for how horribly the U. S. "withdrawal" went.
On one of the few pluses I might ever dream applies to Nixon- he didn't outright piss on the POWs.
