D. G. Fitch@arstechnica The people in the comment thread talking about being sick of masks are pretty disheartening. Nobody was hospitalized - that's great! But long COVID is a real effect too.
If you're sick of masks, find a more comfortable respirator for you. I'm sick of people getting disabled, possibly permanently. Wear an N95 indoors, especially in large gatherings, to protect others! #CovidIsNotOver
@arstechnica From an email from my city this week now that they're not tracking cases:
"The CDC continues to recommend that everyone get vaccinated, get the latest booster, use an at-home test if you’re exposed or have symptoms, stay home if you’re sick, and wear a mask when there are a lot of people sick with COVID."
Why are we not encouraging people to mask in high risk spaces SO THAT a lot of people don't get sick with COVID?
