@gruber One thing that I damn well hope comes out of the keynote and WWDC next week is a bump in iCloud storage for family plans. My kids take a ton of pictures and save videos - and as they get 4K capable phones, they're eating up space at the rate my wife & I do. The fact I've not been able to figure out how to get more than 2 TB of storage for us as a family is an insult.
@ScottCase Take our money, right?
@gruber More than that - stop making me prune my stuff. I'd rather keep my kids' performances and my long-form travel memories intact and in my library rather than a hodgepodge of video sharing sites. Plus, I use my phone for work and have a blended mix of personal and professional content that until we fully deploy a DAM solution, I'm the keeper of a lot of content from the field.
@ScottCase @gruber It’s possible! You can sign up for iCloud+ as well as the Apple One plan, and get a total of 4 TB!
@tom @gruber Are you able to do that even with a Family Plan? Because even as the head of said plan, I don’t get this option to select. Sorry for delay - work travel.
@ScottCase @gruber Yup! I have six kids. I had to leave two out of the family plan.
@ScottCase @gruber You might call Apple customer support and see if they can help you. As I recall, it was a little complicated to get mine set up initially, because some mistake was made on Apple’s end, but others have done it without incident.
@ScottCase @gruber Ah, sorry, didn’t see this before. You want the Apple One family plan, with iCloud+ layered on top of that.
