Discussion on Congress both on social media and traditional media doesn't highlight the potential for GOP lawmakers to be indicted and how that might impact votes in both chambers imo.

@GreenFire @TonyStark I take my cue from how McCarthy treated George Santos. He’s still there. So I expect if several in HFC are indicted, he won’t move to remove them. Have to wait until they are convicted before he will. There is a possibility that no elected officials will be indicted if conviction unlikely. That leaves to door open for more in ‘24. Possible a sacrificial lamb, leave the mob boss alone.

I'm hoping that some of their charges will carry such high sentences that some will take plea bargains instead of gambling on jury decisions, but of course that's more of a dream than actually what they'll do since they'll probably be offered substantial rewards to stay in Congress to continue disrupting democracy.

@GreenFire @TonyStark considering that the House is hostage to the House Sedition Caucus, justice is very slow, very very slow. And depending who wins, it might not matter.
