Lol. Wait till they find out about climate change.
@davidho We don't need artificial intelligence for that, a lot of politicians are already working on our extinction!
@WandernAustria @davidho
Politicians can't be blamed for all the problems. Voters bear the ultimate responsibility and shifting the blame so they don't think that they have to do anything is not going to get us to net-zero as quickly as we need to.
@GreenFire @WandernAustria @davidho u can’t blame ether one of them, it’s a systematic problem who all of us are responsible to. But the political debates is full of wrong narratives. These must be tackled.
@NerdRage42 @WandernAustria @davidho
The only possible way to fix gerrymandering in our country now that the SCOTUS has legalized it is for more Americans to start voting.
@GreenFire @NerdRage42 @WandernAustria @davidho No, that's the point of gerrymandering. It's balanced that more votes will have little effect.

@ShrikeTron @GreenFire @WandernAustria @davidho yeah...I didn't bother countering that Galaxy brain answer. I'm over it.

We can't vote any harder.

@NerdRage42 @ShrikeTron @WandernAustria @davidho
How does gerrymandering explain Ted Cruz being in office than galaxy brain?
@GreenFire @ShrikeTron @WandernAustria @davidho You're right. Must be not enough smart blue voting people like you in Texas voting. What a sad story. Me dumb. You smart.
@GreenFire @WandernAustria @davidho you can't vote your way out of fascism. It requires a combined approach of voting, direct action, mutual aid, and community building (including community defense, which is hard for many people to hear). We need to elevate each other to positions where voting is the bare minimum they can do rather than being either the supposed holy grail of change for some or a literal impossibility for the disenfranchised. The homeless person trying their hardest to survive doesn't have time to focus on the political picture of the world, and marginalized people living under active voter suppression aren't going to risk their lives for something many don't fundamentally believe changes things anyway. We need to do real actionable good for others that allows them to go out and do the same, and voting is only one piece of the puzzle
@GreenFire @WandernAustria @davidho actually in some countries a lack of clear responsibility is the problem, that things don't change. There you ask the mayor to change something, who says the city council is responsible, so you go to them and they say the country is responsible, so you go to the country who say the cities have to decide that for themselves. And in the end no one feels able to decide.
