The problem with "letting anyone carry a gun makes us safer" is that the only people who want to carry guns are fucking psychos
Well adjusted people aren't like "hey I need an AR to order a Beef 'N Cheddar at Arby's"
@drskyskull "I need an AR to prevent people from buying a Beef 'N Cheddar at Arby's. What? It's unhealthy eatin', it clogs up yer arteries like a mofo... I might just as well shoot 'em preventively."
@ElBeeToots @drskyskull hey stay off my beef and cheddar! That’s the only joy I have in life; beside my kid
@drskyskull And the politicians who allow this make sure that guns are never close to them. Safety for them, the Purge for the plebs.
@drskyskull the right to kill people at will for no reason is more important than the right for minorities to exist
@drskyskull Subversive nazis and domestic terrorists. They are called the gop.
@drskyskull Ten bucks says you’re a cishet white male.
@drskyskull @BrisVegas That is definitely the key issue

@drskyskull Yes. All that's needed is mental heath checks before people are allowed guns. Which would go like this:

"Do you want a gun?"

"Yes."

"Failed."

See - you wouldn't need much training to carry out these checks!

@drskyskull always said, the urge to carry a gun should immediately put you on a list that says you can’t buy a gun

@drskyskull

We (Canadian) were in Minnesota last month and struck up a conversation with a local guy in the lobby bar of our hotel. Of course, we asked about guns bc the state has open carry. He admitted he was carrying and that he owned about 50 guns, including AR15.
We asked why he was carrying, and he said, "In case a disagreement broke out."
What ever happened to using your voice? Or, I guess, your fists, if needed.

@drskyskull I think that overstates the danger of psychos compared to a much more dangerous group of people who want to carry guns: folks who are extremely deluded about the danger to their own safety and their own ability to keep themselves safe with a weapon.
