Mike WilliamsI was on a bike ride on Saturday. We rode up to Woodward, IA. There is an old train depot turned museum. There were a couple of kids checking it out, no older than maybe 12. They were pointing out pictures and maps and other items and were asking me about them.
I explained how this was an old train depot and the trail used to be a trail line. Showed them the pictures of the old trail line and construction of the trail. There was an old wood burning heater on display and I explained to them what it was and what it was used for.
It was really cool seeing the interest these kids had in this small bit of history and I sincerely hope they don't lose that inquisitive nature.
