I have genuinely had my door knocked by the police at midnight with a noise complaint.
My specific flat number was given as the source but the Police had heard the noise coming from elsewhere in block. But they still had to knock on my door very apologetically asking if I had loud music on the go. Happy with my no they wandered off looking for the real noisy bugger.
Ironically, I had not heard any loud music that night.
