I finally set up my CPW app so my keep Colorado wild state parks pass (from car registration) is on my phone in case I bike, hike, or shuttle into parks like Eldorado Springs.

Tbh, I kind of liked the paper version that came with the regular pass before. So many apps.

Reminder: it gets a normal carload of your friends in even when you don’t have your car:

Here’s how to take the shuttle from #Boulder to the state park (which bypasses the need for timed entry reservations or worry about parking)

Eldo Shuttle

The free Eldo Shuttle bus service carries passengers from Boulder to Eldorado Canyon State Park, Colorado.

Boulder County
@bolderbekah years ago, I rode to Rocky Mountain NP, and the gate staff wanted to charge me the $16 or whatever a car paid. I turned around, went about 100 yards away, bushwhacked 200 yards around the gate and kept riding. I wasn’t about to pay the car rate as a single guy on a bike. I’ll be a conscientious objector to that nonsense every time. #Cycling

@Will yeah, that happened to me at Arches/Moab area parks several years ago. A couple of times I met my sag vehicle before the entrance, loaded up bike and then unloaded on the other side of the gate.

RMNP is less than a car now for solo cyclist, but more than a car if your group is 3+ riders.
