@astrid finally... ethernet switch that explodes when it detects a nintendo ROM going through the network
@niku this whole thread is CURSED
@OddDoggo @niku The Cisco Switch only plays iOS games.
@vwbusguy @OddDoggo @niku Apple actually pays Cisco to license the name iOS.
@chaz @vwbusguy @OddDoggo @niku I wonder if something similar happened with the Wii, since the Wii's OS is also internally called IOS
@niku @astrid a match made in hell. Nintendo and Cisco will be infighting as to how badly to license everything. The KICKSTAND will have a PAK that has to be renewed yearly. ;o)
@niku @astrid seeing both of these my head imploded
@astrid gonna have kids so I can tell them this
@astrid i think @cynthia made a Nintendo Switch by using multiple USB-Ethernet adapters
@astrid You can't just do that...
@trollcall you're right, i need to buy the Nintendo GamePass before it can forward packets
@astrid Oh, nice, the new Nintendo Switch just dropped!
@astrid I would unironically buy this, kind of like how I want that Nintendo Wi-Fi router that they made
@[email protected] Wait, something tells me that it will block any attempt at torrenting or downloading an emulator.

Ehhh I think I'll stick with the netgear switch I ordered the other day (to replace an ageing Ubiquiti switch that went kaput recently)
@astrid it instantly blows up if you try to transmit Nintendo's intellectual property
@astrid it only supports peer to peer connections
@[email protected] @[email protected] and if it doesn't work, just forward every single port to the switch
