Genuinely curious though how this move will work out for them... like I wonder if they will still make more money overall even though many people are gonna cancel their subscriptions?
Harriet M has moved~@lannii88 Some data is already out (as they've tested this in a few different countries before rolling out in US/UK). Apparently, they lost subscribers in some country - but in others had a decent increase. If I find the article again I'll send it your way, but yeah.. I guess they find the risk is worth it, if more people end up making new accounts to stay on Netflix :/
@memyselfiamweird yeah that's what I was wondering 😞 since they rolled it out to a few places first before this big push. It's a shame. I don't think it's worth having my own account for it, haven't watched something worthwhile on it for a long time (they cancel or ruin the good stuff... 🥲)
