@gruber Couldn't agree more with the on-the-phone about @Flighty. Paid for the family annual (even if those slackers don't use it) and everybody else is so late to the party it's not funny.

It's a great app that's ahead of the curve and I wish every travel app (looking at you, TripIt Pro) that lets me upload my hotel, car & other details were as absolutely kick-ass.

@ScottCase @gruber @Flighty Definitely checking this out. I’m travelling around Europe atm on vacation using TripIt Pro (I get it for free via work), and it’s not great.

I had one flight rescheduled 3-4 weeks before it took off. TripIt Pro alerted me to this .. when the plane landed.

It isn’t terrible .. just prone to error in areas that I assumed would be rock solid for a travel app. I mean, I don’t want to use a travel app, then check everything with a second source to be sure.

@meaden @gruber @Flighty I've discovered that IATA (the trade organization most, if not all, airlines belong to) has a standardized set of messaging that should be available…*if* the airline elects to make it available to share.

@ScottCase @gruber @Flighty That was a JAL flight. But, I’ve also received an email yesterday saying my next Finnair flight has changed (granted only by 15 min), but still nothing from TripIt.

I like being able to store all the documents with the trip elements, and it did a really good job of sucking in the details of everything; planes, Shinkansen, TGV, tours, and so on - just from fwd’d emails. So *snaps* for that.
