After a blatantly racist work was nominated for four #EisnerAwards, it’s time to change how nominations for the comic book industry’s most prestigious awards are made. In an open letter to the Comic-Con International Board, Mariah McCourt and I are asking for greater transparency and changes to this process to reduce systemic bias in order to maintain awards’ prestige and relevance.
