Three keys to continuing to build this platform:
1. Encourage all media outlets to both join and toot here regularly. They're mostly still just feeding the birdsite.
2. Follow as many media outlets and journalists here as possible to show them there's a big, engaged audience.
3. Push media to add Mastodon "share" buttons to all of their articles.

To follow the entire list of journalists at once:

Select Column C, file-> Download as .csv

Then import to your following list on mastodon:

Preferences->Import and Export-> Import (select merge), select .csv file you just saved, upload.

@petergleick … these are good suggestions - and they have been made before. Some of it is happening already, even if it may not be as obvious.

Many of us do also encourage people to move over and I think, the organic growth will continue …

@petergleick I just don't see this happening without more basic infrastructure, including search and quote-tweet. People will just go to Bluesky once it opens.

@petergleick fantastic suggestions all. Fediverse needs to put money behind *people* to make this happen. Volunteers can only do so much. It takes real people who focus on media outreach.
