@beef_mcgristle Because the actual horses are not ordered in any way, the book starts with a 32 page Table of Contents that directs you to which page and paragraph a horse can be found on.

This is both more granular than necessary but could be made irrelevant by simply ordering the horses alphabetically.

There is a similarly long Rider/Owner index appendix and the back. Of course there are multiple appendices and the table of contents are about a dozen pages into the introduction.
