If you were looking for a US antiwar movement nowadays, where would you go?
@ntnsndr It's hard, because the Tulsi Gabbards of the world seem to have corrupted the movement born out of resistance to the Iraq war. She cheers for Putin and meets with Assad - as if they weren't war makers and war criminals! In fact I am finding "antiwar" to be a harder position to take in the aftermath of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Not that I think the US needs to send troops, but I am not against Ukraine defending itself. Maybe the Quakers know how to walk this line?

@marymessall That's a great point about the history here—that the antiwar movement has been powerfully co-opted.

Reminds me of times when RT has been the biggest cheerleader of US antiwar voices.
