I appreciate the understated way this BBC article equates the situation for queer people in America with the repression in Malaysia where homosexuality is prohibited and rainbow swatches were confiscated by authorities for promoting it.

However, I really believe that articles which dicuss Target pulling pride merchandise or hiding it in the back of the store ought to be clearer that far right violence is driving this. The word terrorism wouldn't be inappropriate.

Thank you, i absolutely agree. Our homophobia is right-wing too but institutionalized so it's not exactly stochastic terrorism.
