I've just gone through an official request for reasonable adjustments on health grounds to make home working the permanent default for me.

Line manager agreed what I do can be done remotely and that has worked fine for 3 years so supported it, but HR said I must come into the office at least 1 day a week because some people want face-to-face interaction and everyone needs to accommodate them.

Ableist bullshit. I'll be applying for jobs which offer home-based full-time, so the company will lose a specialist with over 20 years experience.
