The equipment used to expose two 120 rolls of Cinestill 50D, in order to compare C-41 to ECN-2 development.
The first shot on these two rolls of Cinestill 50D was easy enough: a shot of the Color Checker Passport. I thought, it can’t hurt to have a shot of the colour patches for comparison. I then did a shot in my garden, a shot of a building with red, yellow and blue stripes and a macro shot of some red flowers. What next? What would be good subjects to compare the two processes? Thanks for any ideas!
@aghalides Some pics of people - skin tones.
@ezwal
Very good point, thanks! I will make sure to include some people/portraits. Maybe even in a studio setting, with speed lights?
I am taking a pause from the project right now but will get back to it next week, hopefully.
The background is that I participated in an online seminar organised by the #SilvergrainClassics magazine about 2 years ago where the owners of Cinestill spoke, saying that ECN-2 / C-41 should give the same results more or less. I am curious about that.
@aghalides Strobes would work. Or direct sunlight :)
