My folks lived in Florida for 18 years.
Used to love visiting, playing some golf, going to the beach.
Not anymore. The beach is polluted with red tide, books are banned, you have to pretend gay people don’t exist, and about 50% of the people hate a liberal long hair like me. Plus they have guns and don’t believe in my freedom.

I’m sure the golf is still good, but I could never imagine ever going again.

@davidfowler @realTuckFrumper I lived in Florida for a few months. Even tried golf. Didn't take long to figure out neither were for me. Too, too hot in the summer and for the life of me, I can not figure out the appeal of golf. Take an egg, try to hit it with a weird stick several hundred yards away, chase it down just so you can knock into a hole in the ground with another weird stick. Do that 9-18 times faster than your friends (quicker -- less times hitting it). Nope. I just don't get it.

@realTuckFrumper Too little too late. The Disney train has already left the station while DeSantis is running after the train like a dog looking for bones! How sad!
