There are two very wrong, very dangerous claims being made in my mentions right now. One is that nothing ever happens on gun safety. The other is that Democrats have done nothing on the issue.

There’s even an odd third one claiming Democrats haven’t been bipartisan enough on it. These claims are not only wrong but dangerous to efforts to elect people to office who will bring more change. They’re dangerous to efforts to save more lives. Don’t spread such things if you care about helping. 1/3

@TonyStark
I would submit that people are mad and scared. Saying their claims are dangerous or blocking them doesn't make them less mad or scared.

IMO, we are all looking for solutions to this madness. People feel helpless and it is hard to see substantive changes/reversals happening that are so desperately needed for many right now, not in the future, Today.

@equalitysiren Purposefully spreading misinformation and disinformation is one of the biggest if not the biggest problems we have in democracy today. Fascism is almost here because of it. It’s definitely dangerous. It’s not people feeling helpless. It’s people lying. You’ve misinterpreted my thread.
@TonyStark
It's hard though, isn't it, to think about the very big and the very small. Working toward a better future that takes time, and change, while welcome, comes slowly. Everyone understands the need to band together to stop fascism. But individuals ranting about seeing little immediate change, and who are suffering or fearful right now, is valid. My twenty-somethings are so frustrated with what they see is our willful inaction when the world is aflame. 1/2

@TonyStark
I understand what you are saying about misinformation/disinformation. I truly do. Fox, Republicans, and those spreading bots are much more dangerous imo than an individual. Yes, we can block them, that's everyone's right. Just trying to say that not every voice of descent is lying or dangerous.

Thank you for all you do, Tony. I have been following you for quite a while. Appreciate the opportunity to say my piece. 2/2
