Whitney McNamaraIt seems weird to me, but I think that this is genuinely where we are these days: "hey, let's try HTML over HTTP[s]" is an intriguing possibility, not the default.
@whitneymcn @ian @davew I really loved making websites in HTML. It made so much sense. Everything was neat and in a folder. I'm lost now but I still have to do it usung WordPress and Wix and stuff and none of the templates are as accessible as I legally need them to be so I have to fiddle with them with no formal training and I feel really out of my depth plus I have neither the time nor the interest for deep dives.
@whitneymcn @ian @davew but I'm not sure it's feasible to go back. HtML sites probably don't meet current accessibility standards either.

Accessibility is really hard, and most companies/orgs just do the best they can.
@whitneymcn @ian @davew NYC got sued and committed to any government site including individual school sites often run by teachers or students would be fully accessible by 2020. I get a report every quarter. Right now I'm a 4 and need to be a 5. I totally get the why - even apart from the legalities - it's the how I struggle with!
